Sarasin & Partners is set to launch new funds targeting key investment themes in 2019, following the institutional success of its Food and Agriculture Opportunities fund and Climate Active strategy, according to head of global equities Jeremy Thomas.
Currently, the group offers the Thematic Global Equity and Responsible Global Equity funds to the retail market, but has had strong interest and flows from institutional investors in its mandates investing in food, agriculture and climate change, Thomas explained. As a result, the boutique is eyeing potential launches of retail versions of these funds opening up the offerings to the wholesale market.
