The board of the Calculus Venture Capital Trust has appointed Jan Ward as its chair when Michael O'Higgins steps down from the role later this year.
Ward will become a non-executive director of the Calculus VCT from 1 March and will chair the board after the AGM, which is currently scheduled for 4 July. Ward is a mechanical engineer and the founder/CEO of global nickel supplier Corrotherm International. She has previously been a director of Woman in Business International and was named the UK's most inspirational female entrepreneur in 2009, before receving a CBE for services to business in 2015.
