Reversal of fortunes for Chelverton and Troy in Sanlam list

Chelverton UK Equity Income fell hardest in the latest Sanlam Income Study plummeting 39 places from its White to Black list.

The fund, managed by David Taylor and David Horner, was said to have suffered the "worst standard deviation over five years", due to stock calls in the small- and mid-cap space. In the biannual study, others falling out of favour were Richard Buxton's Merian UK Equity Income fund, which dropped 28 places from the Grey to the Black list after a tough 2018, and Jeremy Lang and Bill Pattisson's Ardevora UK Income fund, whose performance caused it to fall down by 33 places.
