Morgan Stanley Investment Management has appointed portfolio manager Vladimir Demine as head of ESG research as part of its ongoing commitment to the recently launched Global Sustain fund.
The group said Demine has been key to the team's ESG integration and development of the $23m Global Sustain fund, which launched in July last year, and that his "knowledge and breadth of expertise will ensure the success of the team". He will work closely alongside his colleagues and focus on analysing thematic ESG issues, while liaising with the firm's global stewardship team and Morgan Stanley's Global Sustainable Finance Team/Institute for Sustainable Investing.
