Seilern IM's founder plots expansion to wholesale market

Seilern Investment Management is targeting the wholesale market for the first time in its 30-year history as the firm looks to move away from the institutional space.

Speaking to Investment Week, Peter Seilern, founder and chief investment officer of Seilern IM, said previously the firm had been solely focused on selling their three-strong fund range to the institutional space as the firm's investment approach was better-suited to the pension fund industry. However, inflows did not take off due to pension funds being limited in the amount of equity they can hold in their strategies, he explained.
