Allianz Global Investors has launched the Allianz Climate Transition fund, managed by Christine Clet-Messadi and available to both retail and institutional investors.
The fund invests in European equities which focus on achieving a low-carbon economy, with many already having significantly reduced their carbon footprint. It will have a 0.7% ongoing charges figure on the P share class and hold between 40 to 60 stocks at any one time. The MSCI Europe Total Return index will be used as its benchmark. Led by Clet-Messadi, the portfolio management team follows a research-driven investment process combining financial, ESG and climate impact analysis.
