Invesco Asset Management, Janus Henderson Investors and Legal & General Asset Management have joined the Plato Partnership as founding members, a not-for-profit organisation, which aims to make the equity marketplace more efficient.
The company, which comprises asset managers and broker dealers, uses its revenue to commission academic research to identify better ways of executing trades, lowering costs and improving the quality of investment processes and data. It hopes that this in turn will enhance the reputation of equities markets and improve the trading experience for the benefit of all market participants including end investors.
