BlackRock has renamed its Commodities Income Investment trust to the BlackRock Energy and Resources Income trust to "better reflect its investment universe".
The trust, BlackRock said, currently has a universe consisting predominantly of energy and mining equities, as opposed to commodities. The name change also reflects the fact that co-managers Olivia Markham and Tom Holl have started to build exposure to companies expected to benefit from the move towards a lower carbon global economy.
