Columbia Threadneedle hires former Jupiter distribution head Ring as CEO

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed Nick Ring, formerly Jupiter Fund Management's global head of distribution, as CEO, EMEA.

Ring returns to Columbia Threadneedle, where he spent seven years before leaving for Jupiter in 2015, and will also join the executive leadership team at Ameriprise Financial, Inc, Columbia Threadneedle's parent company. He will start on 23 September. Investment Week revealed in May that Ring would leave his post at Jupiter on 5 June, to be replaced by Phil Wagstaff, formerly global head of distribution at Janus Henderson.
