My bank manager tried to flog me an Isa last week. I do not know whether to be insulted or flattered. It is my own fault really. I went to see him a few weeks ago to talk about mortgage deals and he asked if I had done an Isa yet, and stupidly I said: "No". Mistake. If this had been just after I had seen the buffoon from the Post Office I would have kept my mouth shut.
