It would be great to think because we have started not only a new year, but a new decade, that life would be rosy. It is not.
Someone said to me last week that 2010 was going to be a ‘treacle’ year – tough and sticky to get through. While it is encouraging the UK market has started the year up and the IMA valiantly keeps coming up with stats about record buying of funds, the reality is life is still hard. But we can look forward to an election, the World Cup, the Ashes and Ed Balls teaching the youth of today about money and debt.
