Does it matter whether or not a ‘great British’ company is owned by an American company or Chinese company or a Russian company or anyone ‘foreign?’ Of course, if I worked there I would be concerned and anyone who does and is worried about their job currently has my sympathy for the uncertainty the takeover will bring. We seem to get very worked up about things like this, while at the same time ignoring the fact selling confectionary is a global business, just like fund management.
