Did you watch the three chancellors last week? If not, you didn't miss much and if you did you might be wondering why you bothered.

It is the only time in 20 years I actually wanted to watch Eastenders, which in comparison was a barrel of laughs. As I sat through an hour of the three stooges, I found my mind wondering to the RDR and the latest consultation paper. What a sad old life I lead – the World Cup cannot come quick enough. My mind drifted to the RDR because it was 2006 when it was first suggested and we will not see the outcome until 2012, although we are seeing subtle shifts already.
