What was certain before the great count on Friday was that 149 MPs would be seeking new employment after deciding to bow out of politics. More, of course, are seeking new jobs today after their constituents decided their future for them in the ballot. Perhaps they could follow the route being taken by David Davies, a former BBC sports journalist and communications director at the Football Association.
