This might be a sexist thing to say, but I don't really think Downton Abbey is a bloke kind of programme.
Period dramas are more of a ‘girl thing’ in my experience, although I admit I always thought a period drama was set 200 years ago rather than less than 100. Anyway, I had managed to avoid Downton since it started, instead busying myself emptying the dishwasher on Sunday evenings until Match of the Day 2 starts at 10pm. Until this week.
