One of the most basic principles of investing is to invest when no-one likes a market.

That is easier said than done because, as advisers and investment professionals, you will know you can make a suggestion to clients but they will not necessarily follow it. In my experience there are a couple of international markets private investors have seemed reluctant to get involved in over the last couple of years.
