If Apple were a country, it would be the 21st largest in terms of GDP and, as Bedlam Asset Management suggests, it might be called The Republic of Applestan.
That puts Apple ahead of Singapore, Argentina and Greece – although that is not saying much. Chances are Apple pays more tax than Greece manages to collect, but even that is not enough for Bedlam to have any money in the company. In fact, Bedlam is not a fan of any of the companies that make up the top 50 countries/companies by value.
