Tim Stevenson, manager of the €1.7bn Henderson Horizon Pan European Equity fund, looks at the upcoming Greek elections and explains why an alternative to the euro "does not bear thinking about".
Tension is clearly building with the second part of the French elections and the Greek elections coming up in the next couple of weeks. The main concern has to be with Greece, and whether they decide to vote rationally for somebody that will carry on with the plan, and co-operate with other European leaders. If they decline to cooperate, then it is quite clear that Greece will be exited from the euro in some shape or form. My expectation is that the Greeks will vote rationally and they will have some kind of solution that keeps them in the euro. This is a far preferable result for everyb...
