Can you feel sentimental about a fund management company? I guess not, but I have to say it is with some sadness the Thames River name is no more.
Well it exists only on a sign that co-founder Jonathan Hughes-Morgan rescued from The Oval cricket ground. Presumably the other two founders, Michael Mabbutt and Charlie Porter, are arguing about who gets to put the sign up on the bedroom wall. Thames River was effectively no more from last week when it closed its office in London’s trendy Berkeley Square, near all the hedge funds. Its staff have trooped off to the considerably less interesting offices of F&C, over in the City.
