You couldn't hear a car crash from space, but I'm fairly certain that, with the right satellite, you could peer down at it, especially if the celestial object was positioned directly over the UK on 6 April.
For it is on this day in the not too distant future when pensions reforms kick in, and the great ‘pensions scramble’ begins in earnest. Sadly, despite the very best intentions behind this admirable reform, it is a car crash waiting to happen, with repercussions so spectacular that my satellite will be able to spot it even in space.
