Not a day goes by without a piece of negative ‘research’ crossing my desk telling me something depressing about the state of savings in this country. The theory must be along the lines of ‘bad news sells’ but the ‘research’ is about as robust as one of those adverts you see on television for anti-ageing cosmetics. Look closely at the bottom of the screen for the wonder cream and it normally says 94% of the 102 people who answered a questionnaire said they felt younger. That becomes a whole generation.
