We are not awash with great books about the industry we work in, so any new ones are always worth a look.

The last one people might remember is Fundology, by Jupiter's John Chatfeild-Roberts. Not exactly a blockbuster, but a good attempt to explain a few things. Many readers may have come across the books by Michael Lewis – The Big Short, Flashboys, Liar's Poker – which are fabulous reads about the 'trading' elements of investment, but not really a look through the humble world of fund selection.
