The single greatest challenge facing anyone involved with the retail investment space in the UK is the sheer monumental indifference on the part of the UK's wider population.

None of us need to repeat the widely acknowledged issues surrounding personal financial education, which range from an obsession with property as a rival 'investment' opportunity through to the lack of financial education. Meanwhile, lots of smart, well-meaning people are on the front line struggling every day to get the message across about the need to take responsibility for clients' financial futures, but I am not sure the message is actually getting through.
