Global equities have risen by 9.4% in GBP terms since the election of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States last November. Naturally, he couldn't resist reminding the world of this fact as he addressed Congress, writes Davy AM CIO Mark Seavers.
"The stock market has gained almost $3trn in value since the election on November 8th - a record," he crowed.
