Over the past year, we have observed a noticeable increase in acquisitions of asset management software companies and products. FactSet purchased BISAM, Vermillion and Cymba Technologies; Markit acquired CoreOne Technologies and Bloomberg completed its acquisition of Barclays Point, to name but a few.
