A recent UBS Investor Watch survey on the 'rising prospects of living ten decades' raises some interesting discussion points for our industry in terms of meeting client needs as expectations grow they could live to the ripe old age of 100.
The extensive survey of 5,000 wealthy investors, with at least $1m in investable assets living across ten markets including the UK, found around half expect to reach a century; considerably higher than the 80-year life expectancy in most developed countries today. However, changing life expectancy is also creating financial worries as investors are concerned about affording a 100-year life.
