The FTSE has reached a new all-time high, we have enjoyed a nine-year-and-counting bull market in equities, and bonds have made us a nice amount of money over the past three decades. Investors - and especially those who started putting money away after the global financial crisis - could be forgiven for assuming this is the status quo. With risk now possibly higher than ever, though, there are a few new ‘norms' that need to be debunked.
