Fund tax changes are here to stay and the industry needs to adapt

In the past two or three years, the tax landscape has undergone almost wholesale change. Macfarlanes' Ceinwen Rees summarises the implications of the new tax environment and ways in which the industry has responded.

Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, and the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directives More than 100 countries are implementing some, or all, of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD's) base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) projects, and the EU's anti-tax avoidance directive (ATAD) proposals.
