Last week, Investment Week celebrated the second Women in Investment Awards, following a game-changing 12 months for diversity in asset management and over 1,000 submissions from females across the industry.
This year marked the centenary of women winning the right to vote and saw the first-ever gender pay gap reports. While the industry reported gender pay gaps that were much larger than we would have hoped for, we have been encouraged by the number of initiatives groups have since adopted to shrink those figures and encourage more women to join - and progress through - the industry.
