Imran Lakha joins from BlueCrest

Quantitative trading specialist Vanguard Capital has hired Imran Lakha as a senior adviser to its management team.

Lakha, previously a portfolio manager at BlueCrest Capital Management, will be responsible for helping drive business growth and overseeing construction of Vanguard Capital's algorithm-based portfolios, against the group's ambitions of "becoming the market leader in quantitative investment strategies". Using machine learning and artificial intelligence to support its risk management and diversification objectives, Vanguard Capital said it was focused on "creating high-yielding algorithms that disrupt and set the new standard for others to follow".
