Neptune's Geffen promotes son to assistant manager on trio of funds; Dowey to lead Global Equities strategy

Founder of Neptune Investment Management Robin Geffen has named his son William Geffen as assistant manager on a trio of funds, amid a wider raft of promotions, as sale rumours continue to surround the Hammersmith-based boutique.

Geffen's son joined the firm on the analyst internship in July 2018 and was promoted to senior analyst in February 2019. He has been promoted to assistant fund manager on the £70m Global Technology fund, £110m Global Alpha fund and £4m Global Smaller Companies fund, Investment Week can reveal.  CIO James Dowey is now sole manager of the £170m Global Equity fund, taking over from Robin Geffen.
