WisdomTree to rebrand 224 and close 192 ETPs

WisdomTree will rename or close over 400 of the exchange traded products (ETPs) it acquired when it bought rivals ETF Securities in April 2018 and Boost in 2016.

WisdomTree said by 26 September it will have renamed 224 and closed 192 products. The products that are being kept currently sit under the ETF Securities and Boost ETP banners. They will have their names changed to align them with the WisdomTree brand. Gold Bullion Securities is the only product that will keep its name. The assets under management (AUM) of the 192 funds being closed amount to around $250m and Alexis Marinof, head of WisdomTree Europe, told Investment Week the majority of those assets ($150m) are in products with "a clear overlap" with others in WisdomTree's range. ...
