Brown Shipley has hired former central banker David Scammell as fixed income & macro strategist, as it continues to add to its investment management team.
Scammell joins from Santander Asset Management, where he spent five years as a senior fund manager and worked alongside Vaughan before the latter left for Brown Shipley last year. Scammell had previously worked at Schroders for nine years as head of UK and European rates strategies. He began his career at the Bank of England in 1987 and has also worked for the Central Bank of Finland and the Bank for International Settlements.
