Pictet launches GEM long/short fixed income fund

Pictet TR-Sirius offered externally for first time

Pictet Asset Management has expanded its $10bn (£8.2bn) actively managed total return range with the launch of a long/short fund investing in global emerging market bonds.

The benchmark-agnostic Pictet TR-Sirius fund invests in sovereign bonds, interest rates and currencies, with the aim of generating alpha in all market conditions while minimising directional bias to beta or carry and avoiding downside risk. The Top Down: Pictet AM's Ramjee on debt, liquidity and 'fragile' markets Managed by Ketan Gada, with support from Thibaut Nocella and Rav Singh, the strategy is now being offered externally for the first time after three years of activity.
