A trio of funds from Woodford IM, St. James's Place and Invesco have managed to lose investors' money over three years despite "the rising tide of markets", the latest Spot the Dog report has revealed.
In the biannual report from Bestinvest managing director Jason Hollands named Woodford Equity Income, St. James's Place UK High Income and Invesco UK Strategic Income - which collectively have £5.2bn in assets under management - as the funds that have lost money over three years. Woodford Equity Income, which entered the list of underperforming funds for the first time at the start of the year, was the worst performer, with a relative three-year loss of 38% against the MSCI United Kingdom Small Cap index, according to Bestinvest.
