R&M appoints ex-Pioneer's Hanratty to lead global distribution

Previously at Pioneer for 15 years

River & Mercantile has hired David Hanratty for the role of global head of distribution to take over the responsibilities from group CEO James Barham.

Hanratty will be responsible for the distribution teams across the group, including River & Mercantile Asset Management (which covers UK, global and EM equities), River & Mercantile Solutions (advisory and fiduciary management), River & Mercantile Derivatives (LDI and structured equity), and the group's macro division.  He brings 30 years of industry experience to the role, having spent 15 years at Pioneer Investments until 2017 where, amongst a range of roles, he had direct responsibility for global distributors across the business.
