Allianz's chief economic adviser, Mohamed El-Erian, has been appointed a non-executive director (NED) at Barclays.
El-Erian was also chief executive and co-chief investment officer at bond giant and Allianz subsidiary, Pimco from 2007-2014. He will take up the position on 1 January 2020.
