NNIP: Appetite for risk grows among professional investors

More than half predict huge spike over the next 12 months

Some 57% of professional investors anticipate their appetite for risk to increase over the next year, according to NN Investment Partners' (NNIP) Investor Sentimeter.

The Sentimeter shows the majority of investors anticipate their appetite for risk to increase over the coming year, including 14% who expect it to be 'significant', while only 19% see it decreasing. This is a marked difference from last year's survey, which saw only 32% anticipating greater appetite for risk, with 48% expecting a decrease. Elsewhere in the survey, 51% of investors say they will increase their allocation to equities within the next year.
