Brown Advisory has launched a sustainable version of its Global Leaders fund in response to client demand, to be managed by Mick Dillon and Bertie Thomson, Investment Week can reveal.
The Sustainable Global Leaders fund, sitting in the group's Dublin-domiciled UCITS umbrella, adds environmental, social and governance (ESG) screens to the existing Global Leaders strategy launched in 2015 by the same managers. On top of the existing ESG integration that is built into the bottom-up research process for the fund, the new vehicle has added back-end screens aimed at avoiding controversial businesses, such as companies involved in military equipment and alcohol.
