Global dividends broke a Q3 record this year, rising 2.8% to $355.3bn on a headline basis, yet the pace at which they are rising continues to slow, according to Janus Henderson Investors' Global Dividend Index.
Despite the continued trend of a slowdown in global dividend growth, which began in Q2 2019, global dividends are still "growing comfortably", with a 5.3% underlying growth rate. This figure is "exactly in line" with Janus Henderson's forecast, the report said.
