Under-fire St James's Place launches financial education portal for under 30s

Tools for young people to better manage money

St. James's Place, which has had a tough time in the national and trade press recently, has launched a financial education hub to help equip young people with the tools they need to take control of their money.

START is a financial education portal aimed at under 30s and will focus on financial themes that are most pertinent to that generation. SJP said the programme's contributors are also under the age of 30 and are therefore facing the same dilemmas as the people it is aiming to help.  The initiative followed research conducted by SJP which found that out of 1,131 18-34-year olds, more than a third (36%) are already concerned they will not have enough money to fund their retirement.
