BMO GAM hires EMD co-head as it plans further products

BMO Global Asset Management (BMO GAM) has hired Valentina Chen as co-head of the emerging markets debt team, as the firm looks to bolster its EMD product range.

Chen, who joins from Bank Vontobel AG in Zurich, will work alongside co-head Jonathan Mann, focusing on local currency investments across emerging markets. BMO is planning to strengthen its product range in the area over the medium-term in a bid to provide clients with a broader range of opportunities to drive performance outcomes. BMO GAM to close European ETF business Chen will be based in London and will report to Janelle Woodward, head of fixed income at BMO GAM.
