The Investment Association (IA) will divide the IA Global Emerging Markets Bond sector into Blended, Hard Currency and Local Currency sectors following a recent review, effective from 1 January 2020, Investment Week can reveal.
The IA said the decision, which was taken in consultation with its members, would aim to better classify funds based on the use of hard or local currencies. Director for policy, strategy and research at the IA Jonathan Lipkin, said: "We are continually monitoring the fund market to ensure that all of the IA sectors reflect the wide range of products the investment management industry has to offer UK savers. "The division of the Global Emerging Markets Bonds sector will make it easier for savers and their advisers to find information and make like-for-like comparisons." AIC reveals ...
