Polar Capital has created a new in-house trading desk which is to be headed up by Alex Jenkins, who joins the group from Highbridge Capital.
Jenkins, who joins after five years at Highbridge as head of European trading, will take on the newly created role of head trader at Polar. Before Highbridge she held equity sales trader roles at Cantor Fitzgerald and Knight Capital Group. At Polar Capital she will be responsible for the firm's in-house trading desk providing the investment teams with a full-time trading service.
