Allianz Global Investors has hired BlackRock's former head of emerging market debt (EMD) sustainable investing Giulia Pellegrini as senior portfolio manager within its EMD team.
As well as assisting in managing a number of funds, Pellegrini will help to enhance Allianz GI's existing ESG and SRI EMD capabilities, the firm said. She will also oversee country-specific research. Pellegrini had helped to launch four sustainable EMD funds during her four years at BlackRock, which she joined from J.P. Morgan.
