Wellington launches 'best ideas' passive-blend US equity fund

Wellington Management has launched a US equity fund, which combines a selection of "best ideas" stock picks with passive exposure to the S&P 500 index.

The US Dynamic Equity fund's exposure to active stock picks versus the index will vary "depending on the number of stocks in which the manager has high conviction". The minimum weight for active positions is understood to be 10%, with a maximum weight of 90%, and the fund is unlikely to hit either extreme.
