New ASI fund targets global companies with 'innovative culture'

Global Innovation Equity fund aims to beat MSCI AC World index

A new fund from Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) will seek to invest in companies of all sizes with an “innovative culture” and will not be restricted to the technology sector, as it aims to outperform the MSCI AC World index.

The Luxembourg-domiciled Aberdeen Standard SICAV I - Global Innovation Equity fund launched by ASI will invest at least two-thirds in companies with business models that "are focused on and/or benefit from all forms of innovation" and will be managed by a portfolio construction group within ASI's 16-strong global equities team.
