Aviva Investors rehires three managers to join multi-asset and macro team

Aviva Investors has hired convertible bond fund managers David Clott, Shawn Mato and Brendan Ryan to join its multi-asset and macro team, all of whom will report to Peter Fitzgerald, CIO of multi-asset and macro.

Clott has managed Aviva Investors' Global Convertibles fund since its launch in 2002 and was joined by Mato on the vehicle two years later. The pair has also managed the firm's Global Convertibles Absolute Return fund since its launch in 2009. Both managers adopt a top-down approach to investing while also taking bottom-up fundamentals into consideration and believe convertible markets are "inherently inefficient", thereby presenting opportunities for active investors to benefit from pricing anomalies.
