GAM Investments is boosting its disruptive growth team with a double appointment, as investment manager Amanda Lyons leaves to pursue new opportunities.
Joining the team led by Mark Hawtin is Wendy Chen and Pieran Maru as senior investment analyst and investment analyst, respectively. They will work on both the $737m (£528m) GAM Star Disruptive Growth fund and the $84m (£60m) GAM Star Alpha Technology fund. Chen is an external hire and will join the team in August from Welight Capital, a family office for one of the founding partners of Tencent where she was an investment analyst covering the internet sector.
