Carmignac bolsters EM equity team with China analyst

Yunfan Bao will be a Greater China analyst

Carmignac has expanded its China coverage, appointing Yunfan Bao as Greater China analyst within their emerging markets equities team.

Bao will be based in London and report to Haiyan Li-Labbé, who manages the €103.2m Carmignac Portfolio China New Economy, which launched in March this year and co-manages the Carmignac Emergents fund. The €414.9m Emergent fund has outperformed both its benchmark and sector returning 140.9% since inception in December 2013, while the MSCI Emerging Markets index returned 90.1% and the IA Global Emerging Markets sector returned 82.41%, according to FE fundinfo.
